Activities in Isolation
During the past few weeks, I’ve done two different activities in relation to Covid-19. The topic of Phenomenology was explored more in these activities.
- Experiments with Protective Materials
For this activity, a mask was made out of natural items to test out our multi-sensorial. I’ve decided to make mine out of the beautiful transitional autumn leaves.
The mask was comfortable to wear and smelled lovely and fresh but as the days go on the leaves will go crumpled and probably won’t do much in terms of protecting us from the virus.
2. Phenomenological Postcard.
The next activity was making a sensory postcard. For this, I used the remains of my mask material and a little drawing that best describes the pandemic.
On the back of the postcard, I added a crushed paper with the note.
Overall these activities have made me realize how much phenomenology is used in different products and items.
